No, not if you mean Legal Permanent Residents.
U.S. lawful permanent residents may continue to use this Alien Registration Cards or other valid evidence of permanent residence status to return to the U.S.
No passport requirement for green card holders.
All acceptable documents for LPRs denote identity and citizenship, and are secure, fully adjudicated documents that can be verified and authenticated by Customs and Border Protection at ports of entry.
