Haha, who knows? We don´t use horses.
its 4 or 5 hours by car so do the math the average speed is like 100 kmh
The best way would be from Mexico City to Toluca, then to Zitacuaro and then to Morelia. From there, Moroleon is very close. For me it would be important to know if it is a kind of race or a nice promenade. Important is also if you will allow your character to change horses, or always with the same animal.
To give you some timing, if it is with the same horse and just in order to get there, consider between 4 and 5 days, depending on the relation rider and horse.
