I’m flying to Mexico. January 3rd -10th of 2007. I’ve read that I need a passport to travel to Mexico by the 1/8/07. But I’ve just recently read that that deadline has been pushed back. http://studenttravel.about.com/b/a/257651.htm Does this apply to me? I would prefer to avoid the costs of an expedited passport. Anyone know what the scoop is?

I’m 16 yrs old and my mom wants to send me to Mexico(Acapulco, Mexico to be more exact) as soon as possible but is wondering what do I need to go to Mexico and come back to the US. I don’t have a passport(parents haven’t gotten it yet but soon enough they will) but what I do have is my birth-certificate, and my California Identification card. So what can I use to travel to Mexico and come back from those two items I have.

Honestly, how many of us have gone into Mexico and have been robbed by local police?? I can’t own property, if I stay to long they will forcably kick me out of the country. If I do become a Mexican National I can never become a Judge or hold any kind of offical office. So why do we bend over backwards for such a crappy trade off??
